Victim May Have Had Medical Issue Before Wreck

(Verona, Ky.) – Boone County Sheriff’s deputies say a Verona man may have suffered a medical episode before crashing his vehicle Monday evening, November 13.

Carl Domaschko, 66, of Verona, was pronounced dead after being transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence by Walton EMS.

Domaschko was traveling southbound on his home’s driveway in the 14500 block of Walton Verona Road at around 6:00 p.m. when the medical issue occurred. His vehicle, a 1997 Plymouth Voyager, suddenly exited the driveway, traveled through a grass field, and onto Walton Verona Road. The vehicle stopped after striking an earth embankment.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision.

Walton Verona Road was closed for approximately two hours after the wreck.
