UPDATE: Water Rescue Made After Gunshots Reported In Aurora

As of noon, authorities remained on the scene on Lower Dillsboro Road investigating this morning’s incident at South Hogan Creek.
It’s unknown how or why the victim ended up in the creek.

(Aurora, Ind.) – Dearborn County police are making a water rescue on a chilly Friday morning.
Gunshots were reported in the 6000 block of Lower Dillsboro Road at around 6:00 a.m. Officers arrived to find a man in the water of South Hogan Creek.
An officer reached the victim in the water and helped bring him to land. Air Care landed at the Aurora Fire Department at around 7:00 and was awaiting arrival of the victim to take him to the hospital.
It is unclear how the victim ended up in the water.
