Winter Weather Advisory Monday Morning

winter-weather-advisory-graphic-small(Rising Sun, Ind.) – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for parts of the tri-state until 10:00 Monday morning.

Local counties affected in Indiana are Ohio and Switzerland counties. In Ohio, Hamilton County. In Kentucky, Boone, Gallatin, and Carroll counties are all under the advisory.

The National Weather Service says snow accumulations there should be an inch or less. That light covering could still be enough to cause issued during the Monday morning commute.

Many schools in those counties ordered closures or delays.

Counties further to the south and east are under a Winter Storm Warning until 10:00 a.m. as they witnessed up to eight inches of snow.
