(Greendale, Ind.) – Two individuals who were guests at the Wishing Well Motel in Greendale have been arrested on drug-related charges.
Anthony T. Hollingsworth, 32, and Andrea N. Ellis, 34 were arrested on July 24 in Dearborn County.
According to court documents, Hollingsworth and Ellis are accused of dealing a controlled substance called buprenorphine between the dates of January 31, 2017 and March 21, 2017. Police say that on at least occasion the substance was dealt in the presence of a child less than 18 years of age.
Hollingsworth and Ellis are also accused of Medicaid fraud between the same dates as the alleged drug dealing.
Police say that the two entered a Medicaid claim that contained materially false or misleading information in an attempt to receive unauthorized payments from the healthcare program.
Additionally, police say Hollingsworth received treatment and Suboxone prescriptions from an Aurora-based drug addiction treatment center under false pretense and used Medicaid to pay for the medications at Harrison Kroger.
The medications were then allegedly passed to Ellis to sell.
Hollingsworth and Ellis are both charged with four counts of Dealing in a Schedule III Controlled Substance (Level 6 felony) and Medicaid Fraud (Class A misdemeanor).
Ellis is currently being held on $50,000 surety bond. Hollingsworth has since been released.
