(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A warrant has been re-issued for a grandmother who allegedly punched a boy at the Lawrenceburg City Pool.

The warrant for Alice M. Riley, 56, of Greendale, was first issued in 2012, but was renewed on July 13, 2014. Riley was arrested on July 31, 2014 on a charge of Battery without Injury (Class B misdemeanor).

According to a court affidavit, Riley was at the pool with her young nephews one afternoon in June of 2012 when they had a minor physical altercation and argument with another boy as they were standing in line to use the pool slide, according to a court affidavit.

Riley allegedly approached that boy near the pool office. Pool employees told police they witnessed Riley yelling at the juvenile before hitting him in his face once with a closed fist.

Riley allegedly told police that she did not hit him hard.

A bench trial has been scheduled for October 7 in Dearborn Superior Court I.
