Catherine Slusher, 56, was driving a GMC Envoy southbound on Kilby Road near Harrison Avenue when the SUV went off a curve at around 10:38 a.m. Slusher’s vehicle went airborne and struck a utility pole. It then hit a parked boat and trailer before coming to a stop, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Slusher was trapped inside and had to be freed by firefighters from Harrison and Whitewater Township. She was then flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by Aircare. Deputies said she was listed in stable condition.

Police said Slusher was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. The airbags in her vehicle did not deploy.

Drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors in the wreck, said deputies.
