(Metamora, Ind.) - Police have not released information regarding a reported multiple homicide in Franklin County Sunday afternoon.

Law enforcement was called to a home on Stipps Hill Road, west of the town of Metamora. WCPO-TV reported neighbors said there were four people found dead inside a trailer there.

Various reports said as of 5:00 p.m. police were telling area residents to stay in their homes and lock their doors because a suspect was on the loose. Come 7:30, police had still not released any information to the media.

Franklin County dispatchers confirmed to Eagle 99.3 that a homicide was being investigated in the county. They said a press conference was scheduled at the county courthouse in Brookville sometime Sunday evening.
