(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A Lawrenceburg man is pleading guilty to charges of Conspiracy to Deal in Methamphetamine and Receiving Stolen Property.
Last December, police said Kevin MacKenzie and his girlfriend, Kelly Mayer, were caught stealing packages from homes in Dearborn County by following around delivery trucks.
Police went to their home on Fairway Drive where they allegedly found not only 18 of the stolen packages, but a meth lab operating in the garage. Two children, ages 4 and 7, were also living in the home, investigators discovered.
On June 10, MacKenzie, 30, entered a guilty plea in Dearborn Superior Court II. He could receive six to 20 years when sentenced Tuesday, July 2.
Mayer, 26, faces the same charges, but her case remains unresolved as of Wednesday.
Both suspects have been held in jail at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center since their arrests December 17, 2012.
