Firefighters responded to the fire on S. Walnut Street early Thursday morning.

(Batesville, Ind.) – Firefighters received an early wakeup call on Thursday.
Batesville Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire at a home on S. Walnut Street around 5:15 a.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters observed smoke and fire on the interior and exterior of the second floor.
The fire would spread rapidly throughout the attic area.
No injuries were reported, and the residents of the home were assisted by the American Red Cross and Batesville Memorial Area Ministerial Association.
Oldenburg Eagle Fire Company and Morris Volunteer FD assisted at the scene.
