ACM Announces "Songwriter Of The Decade" Winner

Rhett Akins gets some overdue recognition.

(Nashville, TN)  --  The Academy of Country Music is announcing the Songwriter of the Decade winner. 

The honor goes to Rhett Akins, who's written 30 number-one singles. 

Miranda Lambert was recently announced as the winner of the academy's "Song of the Decade Award for "The House That Built Me," and Jason Aldean was announced Artist of the Decade earlier this year. 

The ACM's remaining Decade Awards will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
