Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" is rising on the charts.
(Undated) -- Billy Ray Cyrus is pumping up Lil Nas X's country music bona fides with a remix of the rapper's hit Old Town Road.
The 90s country star added a verse to a remix of the single Wednesday night.
This follows an Instagram post by Cyrus last week after Billboard dropped Old Town Road from its Hot country Songs chart, saying "it does not embrace enough elements of today's country music."
Cyrus told his one-point-four million followers, "Don't try and think inside the box. Don't think outside the box. Think like there is no box. #HorsesInTheBack," referencing a lyric from Old Town Road.
The song is currently at Number 15 on the latest Hot 100.
