(Nashville, TN)  --  Country music legend Bobby Bare is getting a surprise 're-induction' into the Grand Ole Opry.

Garth Brooks made the unexpected announcement Saturday night while Bare was celebrating his 83rd birthday.

Bare was originally inducted in the early 1960s, but his membership lapsed.

He was almost finished with his set when Brooks surprised him.
