Ballerini shared the sad news on Instagram.
(Undated) -- Kelsea Ballerini is mourning the loss of her grandma.
She posted on Instagram Sunday night, quote, "I lost my mother's mother earlier this week."
The country music start went on to say, "It was a tough one to process, so I did as I do."
A candle was burning in the background, and a song recorded in Ballerini's grandma's memory was playing.
