Maddie Poppe Wins American Idol

The season 16 winner was named Monday.

(Hollywood, CA)  --  Maddie Poppe is the winner of "American Idol" Season 16. 

The 19-year-old Iowa native sang "Over the Rainbow" during the finale last night. 

Her new boyfriend, runner-up Caleb Hutchinson, joined her on stage for the performance. 

The couple announced their relationship at the tail-end of the show.
