Randy Scruggs Passes Away At Age 64

Scruggs was a legendary Nashville songwriter.

(Nashville, TN)  --  The country music community is grieving the sudden death of songwriter, musician and producer Randy Scruggs. 

Sources tell "The Tennessean" he died Tuesday after a brief illness.  He was 64. 

Scruggs is the second son of the legendary Earl Scruggs. 

Travis Tritt and Charlie Daniels are just a few of the artists who sent their condolences after hearing the news.
