Sturgill Simpson Makes Surprise Appearances At Kentucky Schools

Sturgill Simpson is going back to school.

(Jackson, KY)  --  Sturgill Simpson is surprising students in his home state of Kentucky. 

The GRAMMY award-winning singer randomly showed up to Highland-Turner Elementary and Breathitt County High schools in Jackson to play for students there. 

Sturgill is from the Jackson area. His song, "Pan Bowl," mentions a pan-shaped lake and favorite fishing spot, which is near the high school.
