(Dearborn County, Ind.) - A clean-up of State Line Road will be conducted on Saturday, June 2 by the Bright Volunteer Fire Department in support of the Dearborn County Anti-Litter Initiative.

The litter clean-up will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on State Line from North Dearborn Road to the Hidden Valley Lake entrance. The segment of State Line between the two entrances to Augusta Drive will be closed during that time. Augusta Drive will be the detour.

“Once again, the Bright Fire Department is stepping up,” said Celeste Calvitto, chair and founder of the Dearborn County Anti-Litter Initiative. “They have taken their Saturday mornings to clean up many roads in the Bright area over the past several years.”

Members of the community who would like to help on June 2 should meet at the firehouse on Salt Fork at 7:45.

For more information about the June 2 clean-up and other volunteer opportunities, visit the Dearborn County Anti-Litter Initiative Facebook page, facebook.com/DearbornCountyAntiLitterInitiative/. Individuals, organizations and neighborhoods are encouraged to conduct clean-ups throughout the county and submit information and photos. The Initiative is also participating in the Dearborn County Recycling Center’s project to pick up cigarette butts at various locations in the county.
