Retired radio personality Jim Scott will serve as an Honorary Grand Marshal.

CINCINNATI – This Thursday is a holiday for many in the tri-state area.
March 28 marks Opening Day in Cincinnati as the Reds prepare to welcome in the Washington Nationals for a three-game series.
Before former Reds first baseman Sean Casey throws out the ceremonial first pitch, the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade will make its way through downtown Cincinnati.
Former Reds Pokey Reese and Dmitri Young will serve as the Grand Marshals. Retired radio personality Jim Scott, who is suffering from the later stages of Lou Gehrig’s Disease, will serve as an Honorary Grand Marshal.
In a Facebook post, the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade Board thanked Scott for the 56 years he has spent with them in the parade.
The Opening Day Parade will also feature the East Central High School Band and Guard, East Central High School Dance Team, Jac-Cen-Del High School Band, and Taylor High School Band.
The 1.4-mile parade will start at noon at Findlay Market on Race Street and will continue down to 5th street, ending at Taft Theater.
First pitch of the Reds and Nationals game is scheduled for 4:10 p.m.
