(Grant County, Ky) - The Grant County Board of Education is suing Ark Encounter theme park.

The BOE claims the park is worth nearly three times its $48 million appraisal. The board says it used documents from Ark Encounter's owners to come up with a value of $130 million.

The county's property valuation administrator's 2017 estimate has caused the school corporation to miss out on nearly $500,000 in property taxes.

The Christian-based park in Williamstown said Tuesday it won't comment on the lawsuit.
