AUDIO: Lawrenceburg Mayor Urges Community To Stay Home, Social Distance

Listen to Mayor Mollaun discuss the importance of COVID-19 precautions and the Small Business Grant Program/LMU Bill Forgiveness.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg Mayor Kelly Mollaun is urging community members to take the stay-at-home order and social distancing precautions very seriously.

With many people under the impression that the situation is being "over hyped" by the media, orders put in place have been disregarded by the public.

"Its real," says Mayor Mollaun. "We want people to understand that."

The mayor goes on to say that community members haven't been successfully following these, and we all need to start doing our part.

"We are clustering way too much, and we really need to check ourselves. That is what its going to take. In our little piece of the woods, so to speak, we can do our part. I am asking everyone out there that is listening, just do your part," Mollaun explains.

Mollaun goes on to talk about how the recent implementations have received great feedback from the community.

Last Friday, March 27, Lawrenceburg City Council unanimously approved two plans to help residents and businesses, including the Small Business Grant Program and the LMU Bill Forgiveness.
