Batesville Warehouse To Hold Hiring Event

By Mike Perleberg (Batesville, Ind.) - A Greendale-based packaging company that recently expanded to Batesville is looking to hire. Midwest Service Warehouse Inc. is hosting a job fair Saturday, November 5 from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Batesville Middle School, 210 N. Mulberry Street.  The business has a need for warehouse associates on both first and second shift. Starting pay is between $11 and $12 an hour. Interested candidates can fill out an application at the job fair, pick one up at the Batesville Chamber of Commerce, or complete one online at Indeed.com (search MSW 47006). Earlier this year, MSW Packaging purchased the former Bee Active Gym School building in Batesville to serve as its newest warehouse on Wheat Street, where operations began last week, according to city officials. The company expects to employ about 35 people at the facility, some of them transferring from MSW’s former facility in Aurora. Employment in Batesville could eventually include as many as 40 more people.   MSW Packaging was founded by Chris Nutley 25 years ago. The company specializes in beverage secondary packaging services, variety packs for grocery retailers, specialty packaging for seasonal products and custom labeling services.
