Shannon Fledderman, 37, was charged with Burglary (Level 4 felony) and Theft (Class A misdemeanor) in Dearborn County on May 2. Indiana State Police investigators say that a homeowner on Amm Road in Sunman found a stranger in her home on January 14. According to a probable cause affidavit, the homeowner told police that when the woman was confronted, she asked if the house belonged to “Christy” - and that she was told the back door would be open. Investigators say the alleged suspect, believed to be Fledderman, was very polite to the home owner, but $410 in cash was missing from the home. When questioned by police, Fledderman allegedly admitted to entering the home in Sunman. Fledderman is also accused of burglarizing homes in Ripley and Decatur counties. She has charges pending in Ripley County for Burglary (Level 4 felony), Theft (Class A misdemeanor) and Residential Entry (Level 6 felony). In Decatur County, Fledderman faces one count of Residential Entry. Fledderman is currently booked in Dearborn County Jail.
