Boone County Investigation Leads To Arrest

(Boone County, Ky.) Boone County Sheriff’s Office detectives received a report earlier this month, which alleged that an adult male committed unlawful sexual acts against a juvenile victim. The subsequent investigation resulted in an arrest.

Detectives initially received a disclosure from a juvenile victim, which alleged that several years ago, Michael W. Fitzwater, 60, Nancy, Kentucky committed unlawful sexual acts on multiple occasions against the victim. Through investigation, detectives obtained admissions from Fitzwater. Additionally, the investigation revealed that Fitzwater committed the sexual acts against the victim by force.

Detectives obtained a warrant of arrest and this morning the United States Marshals Service arrested Michael Fitzwater in Nancy, Kentucky. Fitzwater faces the following charges: one (1) count of Incest, five (5) counts of Sodomy 1st Degree and five (5) counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree. The U.S. Marshals lodged Fitzwater at the Pulaski County Detention Center. His bond is set at $500,000 cash.
