Children's Book Offers Basketball Tips, Revisits History of '54 State Championship Team

"Nice Guys Can Finish First: Life Lessons from the 19545 Milan Indians State Championship Team is now on sale.

(Milan, Ind.) – “Nice Guys Can Finish First”.

That is the title of a new children’s book being released by the Milan ’54 Museum.

“Nice Guys Can Finish First: Life Lessons from the 1954 State Championship Basketball Team,” offers basketball tips for youth and revisits the history of the 1954 state championship team.

Each of the living members of the team participated in the project, which was sponsored by the Milan ’54 Hoosiers Museum Board of Directors.

With illustrations featuring team and coaches, the 36-page book includes inspirational quotes and a glossary of basketball terms for beginning players.
