The city has budgeted $40,000 for 2024.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Since the inception of Aurora’s Façade Improvement Matching Grant program in 2016, The City of Aurora has invested over $491,000 in façade improvement grants.
In addition, Main Street Aurora awarded nearly $22,000 in 2016 for a combined total of over half a million dollars to City of Aurora property owners.
At Tuesday’s April Council Meeting, five council members unanimously approved the recommendations and expenditures presented by the five-member Façade Design Committee to 10 Aurora businesses with a total budgeted amount of $40,000 for 2024.
Projects must be completed and awarded funds must be requested by August 19.
All applicants were required to submit a written description, three written proposals and photos of their project. Each application was scored on a 40- point scale.
In 2024 eligibility and awards were limited to businesses presently operating in Aurora.
