City of Lawrenceburg to Host Annual Community Picnic April 22

The free event will be held in Civic Park.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Community members are invited to enjoy a day of free fun in Civic Park. 

The City of Lawrenceburg will host their annual Community Cookout on Saturday, April 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Mayor Kelly Mollaun will help kick things off with the Opening Ceremony at noon. PG Gentrup and the Southeast Indiana Honor Guard with Vietnam Veterans Chapter 71 will be on hand for a military salute to be followed by the National Anthem and the Lawrenceburg Legacy Award presentation to Jimmy Thomas. 

Other festivities include: 

  • Hourly giveaways between 1-3 PM
  • Grand Prize Giveaway at 3 PM. Must be present and a Lawrenceburg resident to win.
  • Grill stations and food service lines manned by City of Lawrenceburg Police, Fire, EMS, and city staff. 
  • Live music from Rosewood Revival
  • Community organization booths led by Lawrenceburg Main Street
  • Carnival rides
