Bridge over Indian Creek expected to reopen this week.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) - A portion of State Road 250 will close this week in Switzerland County.
INDOT contractor Milestone Contractors LP plan to begin work to replace a small structure on State Road 250 on or after Wednesday, August 2. State Road 250 will close six miles east of the current closure at Indian Creek, which is expected to be removed early this week following a rehabilitation project.
The new road closure will last for up to 30 days between Phillips Road and Allensville/Lake Geneva Road near East Enterprise.
Motorists will be routed along the official detour, which follows State Road 129 and State Road 56.

The $1.8 million contract was awarded to Milestone in December and includes an additional small structure project located approximately 4.6 miles east of S.R. 129. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling in and near active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
