(Dearborn County, Ind.) - Dearborn County Commissioners will meet Tuesday with the sole objective of addressing semi truck traffic on county roads.

Semi drivers have attempted to continue using State Road 1 even though the two-lane highway has been shut down for a repair project.

Big trucks ignoring signs warning about the S.R. 1 closure have been using smaller county roads, such as Sawdon Ridge Road, to get around. A resident approached county commissioners last week to describe the danger of the big trucks on the county road.

The commissioners could adopt a county ordinance to deal with the safety matter when they meet Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. A public notice of the meeting says no other matters will be discussed.
