Community Members Invited to Join Sunman Firefighters in Walk of Remembrance

The walk will take place on the 22nd anniversary of 9/11.

(Sunman, Ind.) - It has been 22 years since the tragic 9/11 attacks in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. 

On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 American lost their lives including 343 firefighters. 

In remembrance of the lives lost, members of the Sunman Rural Fire Department will be walking 3.43 miles in full turnout gear and SCBA Air Packs. 

Community members are invited to join in the walk. Those interested in participating are asked to meet at the Sunman Firehouse around 6:00 p.m.

The walk will begin at 6:30.
