Couple Busted For Ohio Co. Burglary

(Ohio County, Ind.) - A Florence, Indiana man and woman are accused of breaking into a home in Ohio County.

Ohio County Sheriff Glen Potts announced Thursday that David M. Lewis, Sr., 31, and Christa A. Bays, 47, have been arrested for the September 10 break-in at a home on the 3900 block of Milton Bear Branch Road.

The alleged thieves did thousands of dollars worth of damage by breaking a water pipe, Potts said.

Investigators recovered a number of stolen items. The sheriff thanked concerned citizens for the information given on this case.

Lewis and Bays are each charged with Burglary (level 5 felony) and Theft (class A misdemeanor). They are due to make their initial appearances in Ohio County court on Friday.
