The road was closed for multiple hours.

(Milan, Ind.) - State Road 101 had to be closed on Friday night due to a spill.
First responders determined that a mud or dirt substance that was non-hazardous was spilled south of Milan around 10:00
INDOT scraped the road, and fire crews used approximately 1,500 gallons of water to finish the job. Crews were on scene for almost four hours.
The spill did not result in any accidents or injuries. The source of the spill is still being investigated.
Mikan Fire was assisted at the scene by Milan PD, Ripley County Sherrif's Department, Ripley County EMA, and INDOT.
