Dearborn Co. Clearinghouse Hunger Awareness Event Raises Thousands of Dollars

Dearborn County Clearinghouse for Emergency Aid has been serving those with food insecurities since 1981.

(Aurora, Ind.) – A recent event has raised thousands of dollars to feed those with food insecurities in Dearborn and Ohio counties.

The Dearborn County Clearinghouse announced this week that they were able to raise $20,000 at their Hunger Awareness Event in May.

Individuals and the following sponsor were thanked for their help in raising the funds: City of Aurora, Civista Bank, St. Elizabeth, Haag Ford, Denmure Law Office, Beinkemper Creative Solutions, Funny Farm Coffee, Consolidated Grain and Barge, Roberts Auto Body, Ohio Valley Screen Printing, City of Rising Sun, Valley Rural Utility Company, Top Line Hands LLC, and Friendship State Bank.

The Clearinghouse feeds those with food insecurities in Dearborn and Ohio counties. In 2023, the Clearinghouse provided over 29,000 services through their Mobile Pantry, two Pantry Sites, Ivy Tech Pantry, Sacks of Snacks, Homeless Bags, Holiday Meals, Clothing Outlet, and Senior Boxes.
