Death Investigation Underway Following Deadly Vehicle Fire

The incident took place near the Carroll Cropper Bridge.

(Greendale, Ind.) - An investigation is underway following a deadly vehicle fire on Tuesday afternoon. 

The incident took place along Interstate 275 near the Carroll Cropper Bridge in Greendale. 

The Dearborn County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. 

"At this point we don't believe this is going to be a criminal investigation," said Sheriff Shane McHenry. 

The name of the victim was not released.

No further information has been provided at this time.
