Driver Loses Control Attempting To Make A Pass

Here's what led to a Monday morning crash on State Road 350 in Dearborn County.

(Moores Hill, Ind.) - A risky pass on State Road 350 caused a driver to lose control of his vehicle, putting him in the hospital.

The wreck happened Monday morning about 7:40 on S.R. 350 near Old State Road 350 in Dearborn County.

Sheriff's deputies say Jason Dudgeon, 41, of Milan, attempted to pass another motorist heading east when another vehicle was oncoming westbound. Dudgeon overcorrected as he swerved back into the eastbound lane, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.

The vehicle went off the road into a hillside. It overturned and came to a rest on its top.

Dudgeon was transported to the hospital with neck pain, deputies said.

Hogan Township Fire Department and Aurora EMS assisted at the crash scene.
