EC FFA Competes at National Convention in Indianapolis

Congrats to Hadrian Emley, Lewis Darringer, Caleb Harper and Bryson Dossenback on a solid performance.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – The East Central FFA Nursery and Landscape team recently competed at the 95th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis.

The Nursery/Landscape CDE consisted of the following events and skill practicums:

  • Plant, disease, pest and equipment identification,
  • Written and verbal customer assistance,
  • General knowledge exam
  • Pruning, drainage and grading
  • Plant design layout
  • Surveying skills

The team of Hadrian Emley, Lewis Darringer, Caleb Harper and Bryson Dossenback placed in the Silver Emblem category, finishing 21st overall out of 43 teams.

CDEs help students develop abilities to think critically, communicate clearly and perform effectively in a competitive job market.
