The wreck was among several which local police, fire, and EMS had to respond to on State Road 1 between Greendale and Dover Thursday morning. Water run-off from Wednesday's heavy rains turned to black ice Thursday morning as temperatures dropped below freezing.
SR 1 is currently open at the fatal crash scene at Whitaker Lane, but could close once a wrecker arrives to tow away the vehicle.
The Dearborn County Sheriff's Department is investigating the fatal crash, dispatchers said.
