First Responders Recognized at City Council Meeting for Helping Cardiac Arrest Patient

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - First responders from four agencies were recognized on Monday night at the Lawrenceburg City Council meeting. 

St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Dearborn County 911 Communications were on hand to present special recognitions to Lawrenceburg Fire Department, Lawrenceburg EMS, Dearborn County Sheriff's Office and Dearborn County 911 Communications. 

The Award presentation from St. Elizabeth Healthcare was for all involved in the care of a cardiac arrest patient on August 18, 2023. Dearborn County 911 Communications also recognized individuals involved in expediting the emergency response.  

Those recognized by St. Elizabeth were:

  • Lawrenceburg EMS: Nathan Batchelor, and Felicia Sullivan (All EMT/Paramedics for Lawrenceburg Emergency Rescue Unit)
  • Lawrenceburg Fire Department: Asst. Chief Rob Schutte, FF Medic Bryan Grubbs, and Capt. Brandon Givan
  • Dearborn County Sheriff Department: Richie Lay
  • Dearborn County 911: Dispatcher Richard Stutz.

Those recognized by Dearborn County 911 Communications Director Jerad Teany were:

  • 911 Dispatcher: Alex Hartman
  • 911 Dispatcher: Rebecca Hoffrogge
