First Twins Born at Margaret Mary Health Celebrate 90th Birthday

The date was September 26, 1933 when the first twins were born at MMH.

(Batesville, Ind.) – Al Hartman and Dorothy Flaspohler were the first twins born at Margaret Mary Health on September 26, 1933.

They celebrated their 90th birthday on Tuesday, which came with special recognition from Margaret Mary Health.  

The hospital in Batesville celebrated Al and Dorothy’s birthday with a social media post, which includes a baby picture of theirs.

Aside from celebrating 90 birthdays themselves, Al and Dorothy have a combined 20 children, 64 grandchildren, and over 50 great-grandchildren.

“At MMH, we’re honored to be a part of their humble beginnings. Happy Birthday, Al and Dorothy,” reads a post from Margaret Mary Health.
