The drowning occurred at Bullock Pen Lake near Crittenden.
(Crittenden, Ky.) - A fisherman’s body was recovered from a northern Kentucky lake Sunday night.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officers say the victim was standing in a two-person boat at Bullock Pen Lake near Crittenden around 2:00 p.m. when he tripped and fell into the water. Another man driving the small boat attempted to throw the victim a life jacket, but he disappeared underwater immediately.
Boone County Water Rescue came and located the victim’s body in about 20 feet of water around sunset. His name has not been released, but he is reported to be in his 50s.
Officers say the victim was not wearing a lifejacket. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor.
