(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Flex Audiology specializes in hearing aids and vestibular diagnostics.

The Lawrenceburg-based business launched the “Hear for the Holidays” competition on November 1, which will result in one local person winning a free pair of hearing aids and access to premium audiological care.

To enter, residents are invited to nominate someone who they think deserves the opportunity to hear better.

The nomination form can be found here. Nominations must be submitted by November 30.

Dr. Erica Person, audiologist, and owner of Flex Audiology, said:

“Since we opened our doors, our mission has always remained the same - to help the community of Lawrenceburg hear better.

However, we understand that sometimes the picture isn’t that easy. Whether they’re held back by fears about how their hearing aids will look, financial constraints, or maybe they don’t feel like they deserve them, this giveaway is an opportunity to change one person’s life for the better.

So, if you have a friend, a loved one, or a colleague who you believe would benefit from this opportunity, then nominate them by filling out the form on our website.”

Recent research has identified a link between untreated hearing loss and an increased risk of cognitive decline, including dementia and Alzheimer’s. While research is still being studied, it is though that hearing aids act as a preventative measure, decreasing the risk of cognitive decline and other long-term side effects as result of a lack of auditory stimulation to the brain.

Flex Audiology is accepting appointments at its Lawrenceburg location, offering a range of services, including hearing tests, hearing aid repairs, pediatric audiology, and balance testing.
