Flood Warning Issued for Dearborn, Ohio & Ripley Counties

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A Flood Warning has been issued for a portion of Eagle Country 99.3.

According to the National Weather Service, the warning is in effect until 10:00 a.m. Saturday for Dearborn, Ohio, and Ripley counties.

Impacts include flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Dearborn County Emergency Management reported flooding along State Road 62 as of Friday afternoon. Other locations that may experience flooding include Versailles, French, Hartford, Friendship, Olean and Versailles Lake.

Motorists are advised to turn around when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

In addition, motorists should use extreme caution driving at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
