Flooding Damages Ferry Street In Vevay

The road is closed Monday between Jackson and Seminary streets.

(Vevay, Ind.) - Flooding has closed State Road 56-Ferry Street in Vevay.

The Indiana Department of Transportation's Southeast office said Sunday evening pavement on the highway was damaged by flooding.

The closed portion of S.R. 56-Ferry Street is between Jackson and Seminary streets in Vevay. Motorists can detour around the closure easily by heading east or west a block or two.

INDOT says crews will assess the road damage and begin making repairs Monday, if the weather allows.
