(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Eric Lows as the new Assistant Principal of Greendale Middle School and the new Assistant Athletic Director for the corporation. Eric Lows, a seasoned educator and administrator, brings over 25 years of experience in education to his new roles.

Born in Greensburg and raised in Moores Hill, Lows is a 1994 graduate of South Dearborn High School, where he was actively involved in basketball, football, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He went on to earn a full-ride scholarship to play football at Ball State University, where he became a three-year letter-winner and received his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

Lows began his teaching career in 1999, student-teaching fourth grade at Mitchell Elementary School before returning to South Dearborn as a paraprofessional. He soon took on a teaching role at South Dearborn Middle School, where he taught fifth grade for five years. His administrative journey began in 2004 when he was appointed Assistant Principal at South Dearborn Middle School. Over the next nine years, he served as both assistant principal and principal before moving to the Central Office as Assistant Superintendent for seven years. In 2018, Lows stepped into the role of Superintendent, a position he held for six years.

Lows is excited to join Greendale Middle School and Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation, where he looks forward to fostering positive daily interactions with students and supporting Principal Jayme Herbert in the school's administration. His extensive administrative experience and dedication to education make him a valuable addition to the team.

Lows resides in Aurora with his wife, Neysa, a fourth-grade teacher at Aurora Elementary School. They have one daughter, Jaelyn, who is a graduate student at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
