The grants came from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation.

(Sunman, Ind.) – Two grants will support the Town of Sunman.
Sunman Utilities announced today that they have received a $30,000 grant from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation.
The funding will facilitate the acquisition of a Preliminary Engineering Report, which is crucial to initiating the repair, replacement and upgrading of water facilities.
According to the Town of Sunman, the original water system was first constructed in 1950. A 275gpm water plant was added in the 60s and has experienced tank leaks and issues for many years. The rehabilitation of the plant was recommended nearly 20 years ago.
A proposed project would include replacement and some rehabilitation of existing treatment facility components of the water plant. For more details, visit (20+) Facebook.
Sunman Main Street announced they have received a $10,000 grant from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation.
The funding has been earmarked for “much-needed” equipment for the ball fields at the Community Park.
