(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Grand Buffet in Lawrenceburg is spreading some holiday cheer by providing free Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
The 3rd Annual Feeding Those in Need event takes place on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 21.
Kevin Wang, the proprietor of Grand Buffet, and many volunteers started the program in 2016 by opening the restaurant to needy families.
The first year, Grand Buffet served over 400 meals and last year it grew to over 800 meals.
However, this year volunteers will be delivering meals to the homes of those in need. There will not be any pickups available at the store. The deliveries will take place between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
Anyone who knows a needy family who could use a meal can contact the Dearborn County Clearinghouse, SEIOC, or a local school corporation for more information.
