(Hamilton County, Oh.) - Great Parks Rangers will provide cycling safety tips and free bike helmets for kids during the Great Parks Bike Rodeo.
The event takes place this Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Miami Whitewater Forest Harbor.
Children must bring their own bikes. The rodeo is for ages 4-12 and will feature an educational obstacle course designed by the Rangers, plus contests, education stations and other fun activities. Children can also receive a free bike helmet while supplies last. Bike helmets are provided by the Put a Lid on It bike helmet safety campaign from the Ohio chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The Rodeo provides education about bike safety along the trails, while allowing children to get to know the Rangers who provide law enforcement at Great Parks.
Great Parks offers more than 84 miles of nature, shared-use, fitness, horse and mountain bike trails throughout Hamilton County.
