Greensburg Student Took Gun To School, Arrested

(Greensburg, Ind.) - A Greensburg High School student was arrested after bringing a gun to school Thursday morning.

 

District superintendent Tom Hunter told WISH-TV in Indianapolis no threats were made towards other students or staff and the situation was handled by school personnel and law enforcement

 

According to a news release from the school, all appropriate actions were taken to protect students and staff.

 

A letter will be sent home with students to parents regarding the incident. Phone messages were also sent out via the district’s One Call Now telephone system.

 

The district declined to identify the student because he is a juvenile.
