Grizzly’s Pizzeria Receives Duke Energy Crisis Relief Grant

This grant will help benefit both Grizzly's Pizzeria and their customers.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) - A local pizzeria has received some help to keep their business up and running with a crisis relief grant.  

Owners of Grizzly's Pizzeria, Richard and Belinda Spurlock, were awarded funding through the Duke Energy Foundation and their $5,000 to One Dearborn and the Southeast Indiana Chamber Foundation to distribute to small businesses in Dearborn County. 

Eligible businesses were required to be in a Duke Energy service area. 

Grizzly's Pizzeria was one of the small businesses in Dearborn County to receive a grant. 

Just months before the pandemic began, the Spurlocks opened for business in Dillsboro. Once the pandemic changed their way of doing business, the couple quickly adapted to continue service, including free home delivery. 

Despite the pandemic, Grizzly's Pizzeria was able to make some "sweet" additions to their menu like hand-dipped ice cream and sundaes. 

With this grant, the pizzeria will implement a new online ordering system which will help the business run more smoothly as well as offer an additional feature to provide high quality service to their customers.
