(Batesville, Ind.) - Indiana State troopers have arrested a Ripley County man for possessing two things he shouldn't have.
Adam J. Jones, 26, of Holton, was stopped for a traffic violation on State Road 46 in Batesville Monday afternoon.
A search of his car turned up a handgun which Jones did not have a permit for. Troopers then found a small amount of heroin and hypodermic needles on him.
Jones was arrested and taken to the Ripley County Jail. He is charged with Possession of a Narcotic Drug while in Possession of a Firearm (Class C Felony), Possession of a Hypodermic Needle (Class D Felony), and Possession of a Handgun without a Permit (Class A Misdemeanor).
