High Wind Warning in Effect Until Ten This Evening

This is for portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.

(Wilmington, OH) - A high wind warning is in effect until ten this evening. East winds are expected to be from twenty-five to thirty-five miles per hour. Wind gusts up to sixty miles per hour are also expected.

This is for portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio. Counties include Wayne; Fayette; Union; Franklin; Ripley; Dearborn; Ohio; Switzerland; Carroll; Gallatin; Boone; Kenton; Campbell; Owen; Grant; Pendleton; Bracken; Robertson; Mason; Lewis; Preble; Montgomery; Greene; Fayette; Butler; Warren; Clinton; Hamilton; Clermont; Brown; Highland; and Adams.

Damaging winds can knock down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel can also be difficult.

For precautionary measures stay at the lower levels of your home during the windstorm and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.
